Scopus on monialainen viittaus- ja tiivistelmätietokanta, jonka aihealueina ovat biotieteet, lääke- ja terveystieteet, fysikaaliset tieteet sekä yhteiskunta- ja käyttäytymistieteet. Scopuksen löydät kirjaston Nelli-portaalista. Nyt palvelun käyttöliittymä on uudistumassa, ja uudistuksen pitäisi astua voimaan 1.2.2014. Uudistuksen tarkoituksena on helpottaa ja nopeuttaa tietokannan käyttöä. Lista tulevista parannuksista on alempana englanniksi.

Scopus is a large abstract and citation database covering Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Physical Sciences, Behavioural Sciences and Social Sciences. Scopus can be found on the Nelli portal of the University of Eastern Finland Library. The user interface will be resigned, and the new interface of Scopus is going live in the beginning of February 2014. The primary goal of the redesign is to streamline the number of steps a researcher needs to take to accomplish the most common tasks.

Specific enhancements include:
– Implementation of a new visual style resulting in a cleaner overall user interface
– Application of more action-driven functionality with some features only appearing when a user performs an action
– Redesign of specific pages such as the Document Results, Document Details (Abstract), and Author and Affiliation pages
– Enhancements to export options and the ability to export directly to research management tools such as Mendeley
