Joulun ajan tervehdys | Season’s greetings

Joululoma, tai vähintäänkin pieni tauko uurastuksessa, lähestyy.

Kirjaston joulun ajan, vuoden vaihteen ja loppiaisen seudun poikkeaat aukioloajat löydät kirjaston sivuilta ja muiltakin viestintäkanavilta (Kamu, Yammer, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Huomioi, että myös 24/7-tilat ovat suljettuina 22.12.2021–2.1.2022.

Kauden kirjanäyttelyssämme UEF-Primossa ja Joensuun kampuskirjastossa on esillä talven juhlia eri puolilta maailmaa. Muistathan myös osallistua kirjajoulukuusen kirjamäärän arvauskisaan! Kurkkaa myös Yerunin adventtikalenteriin.

Holidays, or at the very least, a small break, are approaching.

You can find the exceptional opening hours of the season on the library pages and other communication channels (Kamu, Yammer, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Please, note that 24/7 facilities are also closed from 22nd December 2020 to 2nd January 2022.

KYSin tieteellinen kirjasto muuttaa – osa 5: Avaamista vaille valmis / KUH Medical Library is moving – part 5: Ready to open

Tervetuloa

Tervetuloa uuteen KYSin tieteelliseen kirjastoon maanantaista 18.1. klo 8.00 alkaen!

Kirjastossa on muun muassa

  • aulatila jossa voit lukea lehtiä paperilta tai suurelta kosketusnäytöltä sekä lainata automaatilla — viihtyisyyttä lisää viherseinä
  • palvelupiste josta voit kysyä neuvoa
  • tietokonealue, jossa on 14 laitetta yliopiston verkossa, yksi sairaalan verkossa ja yksi jolla voit selata Josku-tietokantaa sekä byod-paikkoja, joissa voit työskennellä omalla koneellasi (eduroam)
  • hiljainen tila lukupaikkoineen ja -tuoleineen
  • muunneltavaa ryhmätilaa

Welcome to the new KUH Medical Library from Monday 18th January at 8 a.m. onwards!

In the library you can find

  • a lobby area with newspapers and journals as well as a self-check-out point
  • service desk for your questions
  • computer area with 14 devices in UEF network, one in hospital network, one for Josku database searches, as well as byod (bring your own device) booths (eduroam)
  • silent room with reading booths and lounge chairs
  • convertible group work rooms

KYSin tieteellinen kirjasto muuttaa – osa 3: VIIVÄSTYS / KUH Medical Library is moving – part 3: DELAY

Nyt ei mene kirjastossa niin kuin Strömsössä. Arvio uuden tilan uusien kirjahyllyjen saapumis- ja asennusaikataulusta osoittautui tänään ylioptimistiseksi. Alkuperäisen aikataulun mukaan meidän piti tällä viikolla jo hyllyttää kirjoja ja lehtiä paikoilleen, mutta hyllymme seilaavatkin vielä maailman merillä.

Koska kirjasto on edelleen tupaten täynnä neljän muuttolaatikon torneja, on tilassa ahdasta eikä aineisto ole saatavilla. Avauspäivä siirtyy viikolla ja on nykyisen tiedon mukaan maanantai 18.1.2016. Olemme pahoillamme, mutta toivomme, että hyvää kannattaa odottaa.

Things do not always turn out as planned. Today we learned that the estimated time of the arrival and mounting of the new shelves of the new library was too optimistic. We were supposed to be shelving the books and periodicals this week, but the shelves are still sailing.

The library is full of removal box turrets and therefore cramped, with no access to the books and journals. We have to postpone the opening day by one week so that, according to current information, we will open on Monday 18th January, 2016. We are sorry and we hope the new library is worth waiting.
