Welcome to study Research Information Retrieval and Management!
This is open course material for Research Information Retrieval and Management course. University of Eastern Finland (UEF) Library provides this course for UEF doctoral students as a part of UEF Doctoral School studies. The course and its material consists of seven modules: 1) The basics of information retrieval, 2) discipline-specific information retrieval, 3) reference management, 4) publishing, 5) assessment of research impact and bibliometrics, 6) research data management, 7) researcher visibility, networking and altmetrics. Study material is freely available online for everyone.
The course consists of seven modules. In order to to get the credits (2 ECT) you have to pass four modules. The course can be completed from 1st September to 30th June.
- 100 % self-studying (WordPress and Moodle) modules: 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
- Modules containing also contact teaching: 2 and 3.
- Contact teaching of modules 2 and 3 is available in computer class (Joensuu, Kuopio) and online by Skype for Business / Adobe Connect (3 x 45 min).
