Hei tutkija, ovatko tutkimusainestosi näkyvillä UEF eRepossa? | Hey researcher, are your research data visible in UEF eRepo?

Julkaistut kuvailutiedot lisäävät tutkimuksen näkyvyyttä. UEF eRepository eli eRepo kokoaa yhteen tietoja Itä-Suomen yliopiston tutkijoiden tuottamista tutkimusaineistoista. Tällä hetkellä siellä on tiedot 556 tutkimusaineistosta. Osa aineistoista on avoimesti jatkokäytettävissä, kun taas joistakin aineistoista on nähtävillä vain metatiedot eli aineistoa kuvaileva tieto.
Miten saan oman tutkimusaineistoni näkyviin?
Kuvaile aineistosi kansalliseen Etsimeen tutkimusaineistojen kuvailutyökalu Qvaimen avulla. Tämä on hyvä vaihtoehto myös silloin, kun et voi avata aineistoasi avoimesti jatkokäytettäväksi tallentamalla sitä datarepositorioon. Etsimestä tieto siirtyy automaattisesti myös eRepoon.
Jos sinulla on tutkimusaineisto, jonka haluat avata muiden käytettäväksi, tallenna se sopivaan datarepositorioon. Tarkista, siirtyykö metatieto automaattisesti eRepoon; esimerkiksi Tietoarkisto, Kielipankki, Zenodo, EUDAT ja Dryad ovat repositorioita, joista tieto siirtyy automaattisesti. Jos tieto ei siirry automaattisesti, kuvaile aineisto lisäksi Etsimeen, jolloin se tulee näkyviin myös eRepoon. Lue lisää aineistojen avaamisesta UEF avoimen tieteen verkkosivuilta.
Jos aineistosi on jo avattu jossakin muussa datarepositoriossa tai arkistossa, mutta aineiston tiedot eivät näy eRepossa, ota yhteyttä UEF Datatukeen ja selvitämme parhaan tavan saada aineisto näkyviin myös eRepoon.

Published descriptive information increases the visibility of research. UEF eRepository (eRepo) brings together information about research data produced by researchers at the University of Eastern Finland. The eRepository currently includes metadata from 556 research datasets. Some of the datasets are openly available for further use, whereas for some datasets only the metadata, i.e. information describing the dataset, is openly accessible.
How do I make my research data visible?
Describe your data to the national Etsin service using Qvain Research Dataset Description Tool. This is also a good option when you cannot open your research data for further use by storing it in a data repository. Information from Etsin is automatically transferred to eRepo.
If you have research data that you want to open for others to use, save it to a suitable data repository. Check if the metadata is automatically transferred to eRepo; for example, Finnish Social Science Data Archive, Language Bank, Zenodo, EUDAT, and Dryad are repositories from which the data is automatically transferred. If the information is not automatically transferred, describing the data in Etsin will make it appear in eRepo as well. Read more about opening data from the UEF Open science website
If your data has already been opened in another data repository or archive but has not yet appeared in eRepo, please contact UEF Data Support and we will find the best way to make the data visible in eRepo as well.
