Itä-Suomen yliopistoon on hankittu käyttöön ympäristöalan eurooppalainen uutis- ja ajankohtaistiedotuksen palvelu ENDS Europe. Palvelu sisältää seuraavat uutiskanavat: Climate, Energy, Waste & Resources, Chemicals, Nature, Pollution, Products ja Transport. ENDS Europea voi käyttää selaamalla eri kanavia tai tekemällä tiedonhakuja halutuilla hakusanoilla. Lisäksi on mahdollista tilata sähköpostiin päivittäiset tai viikoittaiset uutistiedotekoosteet tarkemmista aihekategorioista. Valittavia aihekategorioita on yhteensä 27. Palvelua tuottaa Ison-Britannian johtava ympäristökustantaja Environmental Data Services (ENDS).

Palvelu toimii yliopiston verkossa ilman käyttäjätunnistusta osoitteessa: http://www.endseurope.com/
Mikäli haluat tilata uutiskoosteita sähköpostiisi ja/tai käyttää palvelua yliopiston verkon ulkopuolelta, rekisteröidy osoitteessa http://www.endseurope.com/ipform käyttäen yliopistosähköpostiosoitettasi (@uef.fi tai @student.uef.fi). Lähetettyäsi rekisteröitymislomakkeen saat sähköpostiviestin, jossa olevan linkin klikkaaminen aktivoi rekisteröitymisesi. Rekisteröitymisen jälkeen voit kirjautua sähköpostiosoitteellasi palveluun myös etäkäytössä yliopiston ulkopuolelta osoitteessa http://www.endseurope.com/login.

Jos olet rekisteröitynyt palveluun jo aiemmin ollessasi yliopiston verkossa, kirjaudu palveluun osoitteessa http://www.endseurope.com/login. Ellet ole rekisteröitynyt palveluun aiemmin, rekisteröidy koekäyttöön osoitteessa http://www.endseurope.com/trialform käyttäen yliopistosähköpostiosoitettasi (@uef.fi tai @student.uef.fi). Lähetettyäsi rekisteröitymislomakkeen saat sähköpostiviestin, jossa olevan linkin klikkaaminen aktivoi rekisteröitymisesi. Koekäyttö muuttuu automaattisesti pysyväksi käyttöoikeudeksi muutaman päivän sisällä. Rekisteröitymisen jälkeen voit kirjautua sähköpostiosoitteellasi palveluun http://www.endseurope.com/login.

The University of Eastern Finland has subscribed to the European environmental news service ENDS Europe. It includes news and a wide range of services including analyses, interviews, opinion pieces and updates on national and EU laws, as well as additional reports on topical issues. Main subject categories are Climate, Energy, Waste & Resources, Chemicals, Nature, Pollution, Products and Transport. You can browse the main subject categories or search articles using keywords. In addition, you can order news alerts to be delivered daily or weekly to your email address. You can select news from 27 sub-categories. The service is produced by the UK’s leading professional environmental publisher, Environmental Data Services (ENDS).
If you are at the university:
You can use the service without logging in: http://www.endseurope.com/. If you want to receive emailed bulletins into your inbox and/or use the service later outside of the university network, you will need to register at http://www.endseurope.com/ipform using your University of Eastern Finland email domain address (@uef.fi or @student.uef.fi). Complete the online registration form. Once you have completed the form, you will receive a verification email. Click the link in the email to activate your account. Once registered, you can log in to the service using your email address anywhere and anytime: http://www.endseurope.com/login.
If you are outside of the university:
If you already have been registered earlier at the university network, log in to the service with your email address: http://www.endseurope.com/login. If not, register for a free trial in the address http://www.endseurope.com/trialform using your University of Eastern Finland email domain address (@uef.fi or @student.uef.fi). Once you have completed the online registration form, you will receive a verification email. Click the link in the email to activate your account. The free trial will be automatically changed into a permanent access a few days later, and you will be able to log in to the service using your email address anywhere and anytime: http://www.endseurope.com/login.
