Order a thesis

Forestry students complete both a bachelor’s thesis and a master’s thesis as part of their studies.

The purpose of these theses is to deepen students’ knowledge and expertise in their chosen field of specialization and to develop their research and analytical skills.

The theses provide an excellent opportunity for the commissioning party to leverage the students’ expertise and gain fresh perspectives on their operations. The student delves into a topic or subject area defined based on the assignment, providing in-depth analysis and valuable additional insights. This collaboration ensures that you gain access to the latest research findings and innovative solutions that can support the development and competitiveness of your organization. If you do not have a predefined topic, we can discuss and define a suitable research topic together that aligns with the needs and objectives of your organization. Our goal is to ensure that the thesis is as useful and relevant to you as possible, while also providing the student with valuable practical experience in research and learning opportunities.

Bachelor’s Thesis

The Bachelor’s thesis is an independent research project that is part of a university student’s studies and is typically completed during the third year of study. The purpose of the thesis is to develop the student’s ability to gather and analyze information and to present research findings clearly and coherently. The Bachelor’s thesis corresponds to approximately one and a half months of full-time work.

An appropriate compensation for a Bachelor’s thesis typically ranges between 200 and 500 euros. Although compensation is not mandatory, it serves as a significant motivational factor for the student.

Master’s Thesis

The Master’s thesis is a comprehensive and in-depth research project that is part of a university student’s master’s degree and is typically completed during the fifth year of study. The purpose of the thesis is to develop the student’s ability to conduct independent scientific work, analyze research data, and present the results effectively.
The Master’s thesis corresponds to approximately six months of full-time work.

An appropriate compensation for a Master’s thesis typically ranges between 500 and 10,000 euros, depending on the scope of the thesis. Although compensation is not mandatory, it serves as a significant motivational factor for the student.

Previous Commissioned Theses

Forestry students at UEF have completed dozens of theses in recent years based on assignments from various organizations, guided by researchers. These studies are designed to meet the needs of the commissioning parties and provide them with practical solutions.. Below, you can find the studies categorized by areas of specialization.

How does the commissioning process proceed?

Contact and Needs Assessment

The partner organization contacts the educational institution or student to present their needs.
In the first meeting, the organization’s research needs, timeline, and expectations are clarified.

Creating a Research Plan

The student prepares a preliminary research plan in collaboration with the partner organization. The plan defines the research objectives, research questions, timeline, required data, and methods.

Approval and Potential Agreement Signing

The partner organization and the university approve the research plan and sign the necessary agreements. The agreements specify, among other things, data protection matters, data ownership rights, and potential compensation.

Thesis Implementation

The student begins conducting the research according to the plan. Regular meetings with the partner organization are held during the research to monitor progress and make adjustments to the plan if necessary.

Presentation of Results and Submission of Work

Once the results are completed, the student presents their findings to the partner organization. If necessary, final corrections and improvements are made before submitting the completed work.
