The forest sciences students at the University of Eastern Finland are versatile and highly skilled professionals. Their education spans a wide range of forestry and ecology disciplines, preparing them to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative knowledge to benefit businesses.

Notably, 75% of our forest sciences students are international, bringing with them diverse global perspectives, extensive networks, and valuable expertise.

Students can also complete their thesis as part of the internship, aligning with many companies’ preferences for practical, data-driven projects. This allows students to gather necessary data during their internship, creating a smoother, more beneficial process that meets the needs of both the student and the company.

Organizations recruiting for the first time or looking to hire with reduced risk can utilize the services of the Forestry Students’ Cooperative, Osuusmetsä. Through Osuusmetsä, companies can access student labour for both short-term and long-term forestry tasks with direct invoicing. Osuusmetsä works in close collaboration with the School of Forest at the University of Eastern Finland.
