About the blog

The blog SENSORY TRANSFORMATIONS offers a window on the life of SENSOTRA research group at the University of Eastern Finland.

In this blog we share with you stories about our multidisciplinary and ethnographic research that examines the changes in people’s sensory relationships with their environment in three European cities. How is our fieldwork progressing in Ljubljana, Turku, and Brighton? What about out other activities, publications and research results?

SENSOTRA is a European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant funded five-year-long-project led by PI Helmi Järviluoma. The project facilitates a step from earlier methodologies toward large-scale, multisensory and transgenerational investigation, providing  significant insights into culture with a sustainable future.
