Presenting ISILA’s Vision at Ahram Canadian University in Cairo: Improving Learning Quality through Early Intervention

As part of the ISILA project’s ongoing efforts to enhance digital learning and promote sustainable educational practices through learning analytics, project member Ramy Elmoazen recently delivered an online presentation to Ahram Canadian University in Cairo.

The lecture, titled “Developing Effective Digital Learning: Design and Analytics Perspectives,” explored innovative approaches to improving the quality of teaching and learning in higher education through the integration of digital tools, artificial intelligence (AI), and learning analytics. The presentation focused on three main topics:

  1. Learning Management Systems (LMS): how LMS platforms are important for modern digital education, enabling instructors to create, manage, and deliver courses effectively.
  2. AI-Driven Course Design: how artificial intelligence can be utilized to design more personalized and adaptive learning experiences. AI tools can support instructors in creating engaging, data-informed course materials that meet diverse student needs.
  3. Learning Analytics Perspectives: The presentation also emphasized the role of learning analytics in supporting early intervention. By using Learning Lockers within the ISILA project framework, educators can gather valuable insights about student engagement and performance. These analytics empower teachers to identify at-risk students early and provide timely support to enhance learning outcomes.

Ramy concluded by illustrating ISILA’s mission to improve the quality and sustainability of learning through data-driven decision-making and showing how analytics and AI can transform the future of digital learning .
