Planning the research data management before thesis

It is recommended to plan the processing and handling of research data before starting the thesis (research) in order to avoid risks, such as loss of data when transferring from one file format to another, data security and data protection when processing personal data (secure tools for storing and transferring data).

Data Management Plan (DMP) is a document that complements the research plan and thesis, describing the technical and administrative procedures of data management. There is a DMP template available for undergraduate students, which can be used when writing own data management plan for the data of thesis. DMP is recommended to be written together with the help of the supervisor, especially if the student collects his/her own research data for the thesis or uses ready-made research data.
