Hanke on yksi viidest\u00e4 osa-hankkeesta, jotka kattavat koko Euroopan Unionin alueen. Hankkeen tavoitteena on helpottaa Euroopan Unionin avoimen tieteen palveluiden (EOSC \u2013 European Open Science Cloud) -aloitteiden koordinointia Pohjoismaiden ja Baltian maissa. Tarkoituksena on yhdenmukaistaa kansallisten toimintatapojen ja palvelujen tarjoamista EOSC:n sovittujen standardien ja k\u00e4yt\u00e4nt\u00f6jen mukaisesti osana EOSC-portaalia. Samalla pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n vakiinnuttamaan Pohjoismaat ja Baltian maat edell\u00e4k\u00e4vij\u00f6in\u00e4 EOSC-konseptin, periaatteiden ja palveluiden omaksumisessa ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6notossa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hanketta koordinoi norjalainen <a href=\"https:\/\/neic.no\/eosc-nordic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NeIC.<\/a> Siin\u00e4 on mukana yhteens\u00e4 <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.neic.no\/wiki\/EOSC-Nordic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">24 kumppania<\/a>, mm. e-infrastruktuurin tarjoajia, tutkimusorganisaatioita ja asiantuntijaverkostoja, jotka toteuttavat omissa maissaan avoimeen tieteeseen liittyvi\u00e4 palveluita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hanke jakautuu kuuteen ty\u00f6pakettiin (WP). Niiden tavoitteena on mm. yhteiset avoimen tieteen menettelytavat ja rahoitus, EOSC paveluiden mallintaminen ja m\u00e4\u00e4rittely, avoimen tieteen tekninen infrastruktuuri ja palvelut sek\u00e4 tutkimusdatan avaamisen yhteiset toimintatavat. N\u00e4k\u00f6kulmana on vapaa tietojen liikkuvuus valtioiden ja palveluiden v\u00e4lill\u00e4. UEF on mukana WP2:ssa, jonka tavoitteena on vaikuttaa alueen poliittisiin p\u00e4\u00e4tt\u00e4jiin ja heid\u00e4n ymm\u00e4rrykseens\u00e4 avoimesta tieteest\u00e4, sen tarvitsemista poliittisista p\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksist\u00e4 ja resursoinnista. Aineistoa ker\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n kyselyill\u00e4 ja ty\u00f6stet\u00e4\u00e4n ty\u00f6pajoissa eri sidosryhmien kanssa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eosc-portal.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EOSCin<\/a> tarkoitus on koota yhden portaalin alle kaikki avoimeen tieteeseen liittyv\u00e4t palvelut ja aineistot, joita EU:n alueella tuotetaan. Keskeisen\u00e4 tavoitteena on my\u00f6s se, ett\u00e4 palveluiden k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 ja omien tutkimuksen tulosten jakaminen olisi mahdollisimman yksinkertaista ja helppoa sek\u00e4 tutkijoille ett\u00e4 muille tutkimustietoa tarvitseville toimijoille.<\/p>\n\n\n    <div class=\"funders grid\">\n                        <div class=\"funders__item grid__item\">\n                            <div class=\"funders__image\">\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uef.fi\/ueflibrary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2019\/10\/EUlogo.jpg\" alt=\"EU.\" \/>\n                <\/div>\n                                                <\/div>\n                        \n                        <div class=\"funders__item grid__item\">\n                            <div class=\"funders__image\">\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uef.fi\/ueflibrary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2019\/10\/EOSCNordicLogo.jpg\" alt=\"EOSC Nordic.\" \/>\n                <\/div>\n                                                <\/div>\n                        \n            <\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">EOSC-Nordic has received funding from the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 857652<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The University of Eastern Finland and its library participate in the three-year EOSC Nordic project, which began this fall. The project is one of the five sub-projects covering the whole of the European Union. The purpose of the project is to facilitate coordination between the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiatives in the Nordic and Baltic countries. The aim is to harmonize the provision of national policies and services in accordance with the agreed EOSC standards and practices as part of the EOSC portal. At the same time, the aim is to consolidate the Nordic and Baltic countries as pioneers in the adoption and implementation of the EOSC concept, principles and services.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The project is coordinated by the Norwegian <a href=\"https:\/\/neic.no\/eosc-nordic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NeIC<\/a>. It has a total of <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.neic.no\/wiki\/EOSC-Nordic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">24 partners,<\/a> including e-infrastructure providers, research organizations and networks of experts providing open science services in their countries.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The project is divided into six work packages (WP). Their goals are e.g. common open science policies and funding; modeling and definition of EOSC pathways; open science technical infrastructure and services; and common approaches to open research data. The perspective is the free movement of information between states and services. UEF is involved in WP2, which aims to influence policy makers in the region and their understanding about open science, the political decisions it needs, and the resources needed for building the required infrastructures. The feedback is collected through questionnaires and processed in workshops with various stakeholders.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The purpose of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eosc-portal.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EOSC<\/a> is to bring together in a single portal all the open science services and materials produced in the EU.
