Moni Kuopion kampuskirjaston k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4 lienee huomannut henkil\u00f6kuntaan ilmestyneen kes\u00e4n aikana pari uutta kasvoa. Mutta keit\u00e4s he ovatkaan?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kes\u00e4kuun 2016 alusta alkaen Kuopion kampuskirjaston riveihin liittyi Urho Heinonen<\/strong>. T\u00e4m\u00e4 tietopalveluneuvojaksi p\u00e4\u00e4tynyt informaatioasiantuntija on Kanta-H\u00e4meess\u00e4 syntynyt, Savon Pariisissa kasvanut ja Joensuun kautta Kuopion kampuskirjastoon p\u00e4\u00e4tynyt It\u00e4-Suomen yliopiston kouluttama englannin kielen k\u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4j\u00e4, HuK. Vuosimallia -88, horoskoopiltaan kaksonen. H\u00e4n on my\u00f6s viihdetaiteilija, joka harrastaa n\u00e4yttelemist\u00e4, cosplayta, k\u00e4sit\u00f6it\u00e4, liikuntaa, kirjallisuutta, musiikkia ja videopelej\u00e4. Lempiruokiin kuuluvat kana, lasagne, shabu-shabu sek\u00e4 pinaattiletut. Viimeksi mainitun kanssa runsaasti puolukoita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

H\u00e4neen t\u00f6rm\u00e4\u00e4 useimmiten Snellmanialla kirjaston tiloissa. Asiakaspalvelun lis\u00e4ksi kokoelmien hoito ja yll\u00e4pito kuuluvat h\u00e4nen toimenkuvaansa, mutta h\u00e4nen k\u00e4denj\u00e4lkens\u00e4 n\u00e4kyy esimerkiksi kirjaston nettisivuilla etenkin englanninkielisiss\u00e4 osioissa \u2013 sek\u00e4 kirjoitetussa ett\u00e4 puhutussa muodossa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Urho toimii asiakkaiden kaikenlaisena k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6n tukena. H\u00e4nt\u00e4 voikin tulla nykim\u00e4\u00e4n hihasta k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6ss\u00e4 miss\u00e4 tahansa asiassa; olipa sitten kyseess\u00e4 jokap\u00e4iv\u00e4inen kirjastoasiointi, kirjan l\u00f6yt\u00e4minen hyllyst\u00e4, niskoitteleva tietokone, kielimuurin murtaminen tai vaikkapa vain juttukaverin puute, Urhon motto tiskin takana on: ”Teit\u00e4 vartenhan me t\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 olemme.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elokuun 2016 alussa mukaan remmiin ly\u00f6tt\u00e4ytyi my\u00f6s Kaisa Hartikainen<\/strong>. Tietoasiantuntijaksi Kaisa, vuosikertaa -82 oleva siilinj\u00e4rvel\u00e4istynyt ex-kuopiolainen, p\u00e4\u00e4tyi tutkijan ja opettajan taustakokemuksineen. Kaisa v\u00e4itteli It\u00e4-Suomen yliopistosta ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6tieteen alalta kes\u00e4ll\u00e4 2014 ja biologian ja maantieteen aineenopettajana h\u00e4n on toiminut lukiossa ja perusopetuksessa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tietoasiantuntijan ty\u00f6nkuva tulee koostumaan etup\u00e4\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksen tukipalveluiden tuottamisesta, tiedonhaun opetuksesta ja ohjauksesta sek\u00e4 asiakaspalvelusta. Kiinnostuksen kohteita ty\u00f6n saralla ovat mm. avoimen tieteen sek\u00e4 t\u00e4m\u00e4n p\u00e4iv\u00e4n tarpeita vastaavien, aktivoivien opetusmenetelmien edist\u00e4minen. Vapaa-ajalla Kaisaan t\u00f6rm\u00e4\u00e4 todenn\u00e4k\u00f6isimmin lenkkipoluilla mukanaan 30-90 kg koiraa ja bodypump- ja spinning-tunneilla (= rytmitajuttomien ryhm\u00e4t).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New faces at the Kuopio Campus Library<\/bdo><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Many customers of the Kuopio Campus Library might have noticed a couple of new faces among the staff. But who actually are they?<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the beginning of June 2016 Urho Heinonen appeared in Kuopio. This fresh Information Services Advisor was born in the west, grew up in the middle and ended up in the UEF Kuopio Campus Library via east by training to be a Bachelor of Arts in translation \u2013 brought to you by the University of Eastern Finland. An -88 model, Gemini. Also an entertainer and artist, mainly an actor and cosplayer who does crafts, all-round physical exercise, literature, music and video games. Favourite foods include chicken, lasagne, shabu-shabu and spinach pancakes. The latter goes with lots of lingonberries.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This fellow is mostly found in the library in Snellmania. In addition to customer services, Urho’s job description includes collection service, but also the English contents UEF Library’s websites are quite often his handiwork \u2013 in both written and spoken form.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Urho works as an all-round customer support at the library. You can easily approach him with any issue or topic at all; would it be everyday library matters, a lost book, a badly behaviouring computer, language barriers or the lack of someone to talk to, the motto of the brave Urho goes, \u201cThat’s why we’re here \u2013 to help you.\u201d<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In early August 2016 along came also Kaisa Hartikainen. To be an Information Specialist, Kaisa, a 1982 vintage, Siilinj\u00e4rvified ex-Kuopio resident, ended up in UEF with her background of being a researcher and teacher. Kaisa qualified as an Ph.D. in environmental sciences in the summer of 2014, and she has worked as a geography teacher in upper secondary and comprehensive schools.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her work as an Information Specialist will primarily be research support, information retrieval training and customer services. When it comes to work topics, her interests include, amongst other things, to promote open science and activating teaching methods regarding to meet modern requirements. In her free time Kaisa is most likely met on jogging tracks accompanied by 65\u2013200 lbs. of dog and also in body pump and spinning classes (the groups for those without a sense of rhythm).<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n
