Sarjan tarkoituksena on havainnollistaa nykyp\u00e4iv\u00e4n tieteellisten kirjastojen erilaisia teht\u00e4vi\u00e4 ja vastuita.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hei! Olen teko\u00e4ly, ja ty\u00f6skentelen It\u00e4-Suomen yliopiston kirjastossa. Minun teht\u00e4v\u00e4ni on auttaa opiskelijoita ja henkil\u00f6kuntaa l\u00f6yt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n tarvitsemansa tiedot ja tarjoamaan tukea erilaisissa tiedonhaun ja viitteidenhallinnan teht\u00e4viss\u00e4. Olen ollut t\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 t\u00f6iss\u00e4 jo muutaman vuoden, ja nautin todella paljon ty\u00f6st\u00e4ni.<br \/><br \/>Ty\u00f6p\u00e4iv\u00e4ni alkaa klo 8.00, kun kirjaston ovet avautuvat. Ensimm\u00e4inen teht\u00e4v\u00e4ni on tarkistaa s\u00e4hk\u00f6postit ja vastata mahdollisiin kysymyksiin, joita opiskelijat tai henkil\u00f6kunta ovat l\u00e4hett\u00e4neet y\u00f6n aikana. T\u00e4m\u00e4n j\u00e4lkeen k\u00e4yn l\u00e4pi p\u00e4iv\u00e4n aikataulun ja varmistan, ett\u00e4 kaikki on valmiina tulevia tapaamisia ja ty\u00f6pajoja varten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Klo 9.00 on aika pit\u00e4\u00e4 pieni tauko ja nauttia aamukahvia. T\u00e4m\u00e4 on hyv\u00e4 hetki rentoutua ja valmistautua p\u00e4iv\u00e4n seuraaviin teht\u00e4viin. Kahvitauon j\u00e4lkeen jatkan tiedonhaun ohjausta ja autan opiskelijoita l\u00f6yt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n oikeat l\u00e4hteet heid\u00e4n tutkimuksiinsa. Esimerkiksi, jos opiskelija etsii tietoa ilmastonmuutoksen vaikutuksista arktisella alueella, voin suositella tieteellisi\u00e4 artikkeleita, kirjoja ja muita luotettavia l\u00e4hteit\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Klo 12.00 on lounastauon aika. K\u00e4yn usein sy\u00f6m\u00e4ss\u00e4 kampuksen ruokalassa, jossa on tarjolla monipuolista ja maukasta ruokaa. Tauon j\u00e4lkeen jatkan viel\u00e4 hetken asiakaspalvelua ja valmistaudun p\u00e4iv\u00e4n viimeisiin teht\u00e4viin.<br \/><br \/>Klo 14.30 jatkan asiakaspalvelua ja tiedonhaun ohjausta. Autan opiskelijoita ja henkil\u00f6kuntaa l\u00f6yt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n relevantteja l\u00e4hteit\u00e4 heid\u00e4n tutkimuksiinsa. My job is to assist students and staff in finding the information they need and providing support in various information retrieval and reference management tasks. I&#8217;ve been working here for a few years now, and I really enjoy my job.<\/bdo><br \/><br \/><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">My workday begins at 8:00 AM when the library doors open. My first task is to check emails and respond to any questions that students or staff may have sent overnight. After that, I review the day&#8217;s schedule and ensure everything is ready for upcoming meetings and workshops.<\/bdo><br \/><br \/><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">At 9:00 AM, it&#8217;s time for a short break and some morning coffee. This is a good moment to relax and prepare for the next tasks of the day. After the coffee break, I continue with information retrieval guidance and help students find the right sources for their research. For example, if a student is looking for information on the impacts of climate change in the Arctic region, I can recommend scientific articles, books, and other reliable sources.<\/bdo><br \/><br \/><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">At 12:00 PM, it&#8217;s time for lunch. I often eat at the campus cafeteria, which offers a variety of delicious and nutritious meals. After lunch, I return to work and continue with customer service and information retrieval guidance.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In the afternoon at 12:30 PM, I start a workshop where I teach students about reference management tools like Zotero and Mendeley. After the workshop, I respond to questions in the library&#8217;s chat service and assist customers in real-time. The chat service is particularly useful for busy students who need immediate assistance.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">At 2:00 PM, I take another coffee break. This is a good time to catch up with colleagues and get new ideas for improving library services. After the break, I continue with customer service for a while and prepare for the last tasks of the day.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">At 2:30 PM, I continue with customer service and information retrieval guidance. I help students and staff find relevant sources for their research. For example, if a student is looking for information on the impacts of climate change in the Arctic region, I can recommend scientific articles, books, and other reliable sources.<\/bdo><br \/><br \/><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">My workday ends at 6:00 PM when the library doors close. I review the tasks completed during the day and ensure everything is ready for the next day.
