T\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 korkeakoulumaailmassa syksy on uuden alku. Olemme ilolla panneet merkille, ett\u00e4 kampus on her\u00e4nnyt eloon parin hiljaisen lukuvuoden j\u00e4lkeen, ja t\u00e4m\u00e4 n\u00e4kyy my\u00f6s kirjastossamme. Harjoittelemme yhdess\u00e4 kampusarkea: erikoista kyll\u00e4, samalla viivalla ovat niin vasta taloon tullut fuksi kuin kokeneempi UEFilainen, joka on pandemia-aikana osallistunut yliopistoel\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n et\u00e4illen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meille kirjastolla on selv\u00e4\u00e4, ett\u00e4 askarruttavaa asiaa riitt\u00e4\u00e4 ja turhia kysymyksi\u00e4 ei ole. Sen sijaan on t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4, ettet j\u00e4\u00e4 kysymyksinesi yksin, vaan k\u00e4\u00e4nnyt oitis puoleemme. Hyv\u00e4n\u00e4 esimerkkin\u00e4 tavallisesta pulmasta toimii kysymys: \u201cMiksi en p\u00e4\u00e4se kirjautumaan UEF-Primoon?\u201d Sarjakuvan keinoin vastauksen voi veistell\u00e4 n\u00e4in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ei h\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4! UEF-Primo<\/a> on ikioma hakukoneemme, joka auttaa sinua aina silloin, kun etsit perinteist\u00e4 painettua kirjaa, elektronista materiaalia tai muuta kaipaamaasi aineistoa. Ei sovi my\u00f6sk\u00e4\u00e4n unohtaa, ett\u00e4 UEF-Primo on mainio paikka hoitaa kaikkea asiakkuuteesi liittyv\u00e4\u00e4: n\u00e4et lainasi ja niiden er\u00e4p\u00e4iv\u00e4t, voit tehd\u00e4 varauksia, uusia lainojasi ja maksaa kertyneit\u00e4 maksuja. Lounaalla Primo ei puolestasi k\u00e4y, mutta melkeinp\u00e4 kaikki muu sen kautta hoituukin!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuudo<\/a> taas on opiskelijan oma mobiilisovellus, joka on oikein hy\u00f6dyllinen kampusarjessa. Sen Kirjasto-osioon saat digitaalisen kirjastokortin, joka kulkee aina matkassasi ja, kuten sarjakuvakin sen kertoi, mahdollistaa UEF-Primoon kirjautumisen. N\u00e4et laina- ja varaustilanteesi my\u00f6s Tuudosta. Kun pohdit kirjastossamme piipahtamista, sovelluksesta on n\u00e4pp\u00e4r\u00e4 tarkistaa toimipisteidemme aukioloajat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mit\u00e4 mahtaa tarkoittaa, kun puhutaan 24\/7-kirjastosta? Ent\u00e4 onko kirjastossa ryhm\u00e4ty\u00f6tiloja? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

UEFilaisena voit k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 Kuopion ja Joensuun kampuskirjastoja kulkuluvalla my\u00f6s iltaisin, viikonloppuisin tai juhlapyhin\u00e4, kun kirjastot ovat suljettuina. Kulkuluvan hankkiminen onnistuu k\u00e4den k\u00e4\u00e4nteess\u00e4: k\u00e4y t\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4 Kamun Itseopiskelutilat<\/a>-sivulta l\u00f6ytyv\u00e4 lupahakemus. Kun hakemuksesi on k\u00e4sitelty, sinuun ollaan yhteydess\u00e4. Kamusta l\u00f6yd\u00e4t tiedon my\u00f6s kampusten ryhm\u00e4ty\u00f6tiloista, joita kannattaa k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 aina, kun ty\u00f6skentelyst\u00e4 aiheutuu puheensorinaa. Kirjaston osalta ryhm\u00e4ty\u00f6tiloja l\u00f6ytyy Joensuun kampuskirjastosta ja KYSin tieteellisest\u00e4 kirjastosta<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kirjasto on olemassa k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ji\u00e4\u00e4n varten. Here in the academic world autumn is the start of something new. We have gladly noticed that the campus has come to life after two years of silence and this shows also in our library. Together we are practicing everyday life at the campus. Strangely enough, the situation is equal to newly arrived first-year students as well as to a seasoned UEFian, who has participated in the academic life remotely during pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For us it is crystal clear that there are always heaps of questions about the library and none of them are unnecessary. Instead, it\u2019s important that you don\u2019t feel left alone with your questions, but feel free to get in touch with us. A classic example of an ordinary problem is the following: \u201cWhy can\u2019t I log into UEF Primo?\u201d One way of answering is by a comic strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, what if I don\u2019t know what UEF Primo is? Let alone Tuudo?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

No worries! <\/bdo>UEF Primo<\/bdo><\/a> is our very own search service that helps you whenever you are searching for a printed book, electronic resources or any other material. Let\u2019s not forget that UEF Primo is a fine place to manage everything related to your customership: you can see your loans and their due dates, make reservations, renew your loans and pay fines and fees. Unfortunately, Primo doesn\u2019t have lunch for you but nearly everything else can be done there!<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuudo<\/a>, on the other hand, is a mobile application and a real one-stop shop for everything a student needs. At its Library section, you can have a digital library card that always travels with you. Having the card makes it possible to log in to UEF Primo, as the comic strip pointed out. You can also see your loans and reservations on Tuudo. When you consider visiting our library, it\u2019s handy to check the opening hours on the application.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve heard rumours about Library 24\/7 and group study rooms. What about them?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As a UEFian, you can get an access badge and use the Kuopio and Joensuu campus libraries in the evenings, weekends or holidays when the libraries are closed. Getting an access badge happens in no time at all: fill in a form at Kamu\u2019s <\/bdo>Self-study facilities<\/bdo><\/a> webpage. Once your application has been processed, you will be informed. On Kamu, you can also find information on the group study rooms at the campuses: it\u2019s a good idea to always use them when studying causes chattering. Library has group study rooms at the Joensuu Campus Library and <\/bdo>KUH Medical Library<\/bdo><\/a>.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n
