Kokonaan uusina kustantajina mukaan tulevat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uef.fi\/fi\/avoimen-julkaisemisen-tukeminen-ja-uef#accordion-477909\">Cambridge University Press<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uef.fi\/fi\/avoimen-julkaisemisen-tukeminen-ja-uef#accordion-5355\">Cell Press<\/a> ja <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uef.fi\/fi\/avoimen-julkaisemisen-tukeminen-ja-uef#accordion-489169\">Karger<\/a>. N\u00e4iden kustantajien lehdiss\u00e4 voi julkaista artikkeleita avoimina ilman kirjoittajamaksuja. Muutamien muiden kustantajien kanssa on uusittu vuoden vaihteessa umpeutuneita sopimuksia. ACM:n kirjoittajamaksuohjeet p\u00e4ivitet\u00e4\u00e4n&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uef.fi\/fi\/avoimen-julkaisemisen-tukeminen-ja-uef#paragraph-16657\">UEFin kirjoittajamaksuetujen sivulle<\/a>, kun neuvottelut on saatu loppuun. Samalta sivuilta l\u00f6ytyv\u00e4t tiedot my\u00f6s niiden kustantajien kirjoittajamaksueduista, joiden sopimuskausi on jatkunut yli vuodenvaihteen. Lis\u00e4tietoja viime vuoden kirjoittajamaksuista on luettavissa l\u00e4hiaikoina kirjaston blogissa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SoleCRIS ja julkaisutiedonkeruu uudistuvat 2022<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Uusi UEF CRIS otetaan k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n maalis-huhtikuun vaihteessa. Siin\u00e4 julkaisut ilmoitetaan raportointiin j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n sis\u00e4isell\u00e4 lomakkeella. Erityisesti DOI-tunnuksellisten julkaisujen ilmoittaminen on entist\u00e4 helpompaa. Samalla muuttuu my\u00f6s valtakunnallinen tiedonkeruumalli: julkaisutyyppeihin perustuvasta raportoinnista siirryt\u00e4\u00e4n ns. attribuuttipohjaiseen tiedonkeruuseen. Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeri\u00f6 on laatimassa t\u00e4h\u00e4n perustuvaa tutkijaohjeistusta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miksi n\u00e4m\u00e4 muutokset?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nykyinen SoleCRIS on teknisesti vanhentunut eik\u00e4 mahdollista uutta tiedonkeruumallia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uudistus mahdollistaa julkaisutyyppien ulkopuolisten julkaisutietojen toimittamisen (esim. abstraktit, posterit) VIRTAan ja <a href=\"https:\/\/tiedejatutkimus.fi\/fi\/\">Tutkimustietovarantoon<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paremmat tiedonsiirtomahdollisuudet kansallisesti ja kansainv\u00e4lisesti<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mahdollistaa aiempaa tarkempien tietojen ker\u00e4\u00e4misen julkaisujen avoimesta saatavuudesta.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Kannattaa seurata tiedotusta sek\u00e4 Heimon <a href=\"https:\/\/studentuef.sharepoint.com\/sites\/heimo_fi\/palvelut\/solecris-tutkimustietokanta\/Sivut\/etusivu.aspx\">Palveluissa<\/a>&nbsp; ett\u00e4 <a href=\"https:\/\/web.yammer.com\/main\/groups\/eyJfdHlwZSI6Ikdyb3VwIiwiaWQiOiI1OTg4MzQzODA4MCJ9\/all\">Yammerissa<\/a> ja osallistua my\u00f6hemmin ilmoitettaviin koulutuksiin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Avoimen tieteen ja tutkimuksen (AVOTT) seuranta alkaa<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/avointiede.fi\/fi\/ajankohtaista\/avoimen-tieteen-ja-tutkimuksen-seuranta-aloitetaan-2022\">AVOTT-seurantamalli<\/a> laadittiin 2021, ja se otetaan k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n kev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2022. Vuonna 2022 seuranta keskittyy avointen tieteellisten julkaisujen m\u00e4\u00e4riin, ja jatkossa seurantaa on tarkoitus laajentaa muiden indikaattoreiden avulla. T\u00e4t\u00e4 varten ohjaavista dokumenteista ja palveluista ker\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n tietoa kyselyn avulla touko-kes\u00e4kuussa. Kyselyn tulokset julkaistaan tiedejatutkimus.fi:ss\u00e4 lokakuussa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Osalinjausten kommentointikierros<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Luonnokset kokooma- ja yksitt\u00e4isteosten avoimuuden sek\u00e4 avoimien oppimis- ja opetusk\u00e4yt\u00e4nt\u00f6jen osalinjauksesta ovat kommentoitavana 7.2.\u201318.3.2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kommentointi on avoin koko korkeakoulu- ja tutkimusyhteis\u00f6lle. Kommentoinnin p\u00e4\u00e4tytty\u00e4 ty\u00f6ryhm\u00e4t muokkaavat luonnoksia ja esittelev\u00e4t ne Ohjausryhm\u00e4lle kev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2022. Tavoitteena on osalinjausten hyv\u00e4ksyminen vuoden 2022 aikana.<a href=\"https:\/\/avointiede.fi\/fi\/ajankohtaista\/uusia-osalinjauksia-kommentoitavana\"> Lis\u00e4tietoja<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tutkimuksen arviointij\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4uudistus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Euroopan komission tutkimus- ja innovaatio-osasto on julkaissut raportin, jossa tarkastellaan tutkimuksen arviointij\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n uudistusta. Raportissa esitet\u00e4\u00e4n, ett\u00e4 tutkimuksen arvioinnissa kiinnitett\u00e4isiin jatkossa enemm\u00e4n huomiota arvioinnin kohteiden luontaisiin ansioihin ja tuloksiin kuin julkaisujen lukum\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4n tai julkaisukanaviin, ja korostetaan laadullista vertaisarviointia, jossa voidaan vastuullisesti hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llisi\u00e4 indikaattoreita. Avointa toimintakulttuuria, avointa tiedon ja datan jakamista esitet\u00e4\u00e4n huomioitavaksi sek\u00e4 tunnustamaan tutkimustoiminnan ja k\u00e4yt\u00e4nt\u00f6jen moninaisuutta. New agreements have been signed with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uef.fi\/en\/supporting-open-publishing-and-uef#accordion-477909\">Cambridge University Press<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uef.fi\/en\/supporting-open-publishing-and-uef#accordion-535559\">Cell Press<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uef.fi\/en\/supporting-open-publishing-and-uef#accordion-489169\">Karger<\/a>. Authors can publish open access articles in these publishers\u2019 journals without article\/author processing charges. Some agreements that expired at the New Year have been renewed with other publishers. The APC instructions concerning ACM will be updated on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uef.fi\/en\/supporting-open-publishing-and-uef#paragraph-16657\">UEF APC page<\/a> when negotiations are finalised. Additional information: apcfees@uef.fi<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">OpenAPC service updated with UEF\u2019s APC details for 2021<\/bdo><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The details of the article\/author processing charges at the University of Eastern Finland in 2021 are now available in the <a href=\"https:\/\/treemaps.openapc.net\/apcdata\/eastern-finland-u\/#publisher\/period=2021\">OpenAPC service<\/a>.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The information displayed in OpenAPC is not exhaustive due to the service\u2019s limitations, but it does provide a good overall picture of the charges paid in 2021. Additional information on last year\u2019s processing charges will be made available on the library blog in the near future.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Changes in SoleCRIS and publication data collection 2022<\/bdo><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The new UEF CRIS will be launched at the end of March. Publications will be submitted for reporting via the built-in form. It will be easier to submit especially publications with DOI. At the same time the publication data collection model will be changed: instead of publication types a new model with attributes will be taken into use. The Ministry of Education and Culture is writing instructions on this for researchers.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Why all the changes?<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The current SoleCRIS is outdated and cannot be used in the attribute-based reporting.<\/bdo><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It will be possible to submit data on publication types outside the Ministry\u2019s data collection (e. g. abstracts, posters) to VIRTA and <a href=\"https:\/\/research.fi\/en\/\">Research.fi<\/a>.<\/bdo><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Modern interfaces for data transfer between systems nationally and internationally<\/bdo><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">More detailed information can be collected for example on open access of the publications.<\/bdo><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">More information on UEF CRIS can be found in <a href=\"https:\/\/studentuef.sharepoint.com\/sites\/heimo_en\/services\/solecris-system\/Pages\/home.aspx\">Heimo Services<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/web.yammer.com\/main\/groups\/eyJfdHlwZSI6Ikdyb3VwIiwiaWQiOiI1OTg4MzQzODA4MCJ9\/all\">Yammer<\/a>. It might also be useful to participate in staff training which will be announced later.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Monitoring of open science and research (OSR) to start<\/bdo><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">An <a href=\"https:\/\/avointiede.fi\/fi\/ajankohtaista\/avoimen-tieteen-ja-tutkimuksen-seuranta-aloitetaan-2022\">OSR monitoring model<\/a> (in Finnish) was prepared in 2021, and it will be implemented in spring 2022 . In 2022, the monitoring will focus on the numbers of open scientific publications, and the plan is to expand this monitoring with the help of other indicators in the future. To this end, a survey will be conducted in May and June to collect information on the guiding documents and services. The survey results will be published at research.fi in October.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Round of comments on policy components<\/bdo><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The draft policy components for open access to anthologies and monographs and for open educational practices are open for comments from 7 February to 18 March 2022.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The entire Finnish higher education and research community is invited to comment on the policy components. Once the commenting has concluded, the working groups will edit the drafts and present them to the Steering Group in spring 2022. The goal is to approve the policy components in 2022. <a href=\"https:\/\/avointiede.fi\/en\/news\/new-policies-open-comments\">Further information<\/a>.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A reform of the research assessment system<\/bdo><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of European Commission has published the scoping report, examining the reform of the research assessment system. The report suggests that the assessment of research would focus more attention on the intrinsic merits and performance of the assessment subjects in the future, than to the number of publications or where publications are published and emphasises qualitative peer review which can be supported by responsible use of quantitative indicators. During the assessment process, an open culture of activity, open sharing of knowledge and data are presented for taking into account. The diversity of research activities and practices should be also recognized. At the recipes\u2019 core is a description of how each model works, what concrete benefits it offers and the easiest way to implement it at other higher education institutions. Additionally, the recipes include contemplation of what was learned about each model in practice.
