H\u00e4n on kansainv\u00e4lisen ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6politiikan sek\u00e4 ilmastonmuutoksen ja kest\u00e4v\u00e4n kehityksen asiantuntija, joka on tutkinut globaaleja tuotanto- ja kulutusj\u00e4rjestelmi\u00e4 sek\u00e4 oikeudenmukaisuuteen liittyvi\u00e4 kysymyksi\u00e4. H\u00e4n puhui yliopistojen k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6n johtamisesta, muutosten kiireellisyydest\u00e4, <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/european-green-deal_fi\">Euroopan vihre\u00e4n kehityksen ohjelma<\/a>sta, tutkimuksen yhteiskunnallisesta merkityksest\u00e4 muuttuvassa kontekstissa ja siit\u00e4, miten viesti\u00e4 monimutkaisista ja ep\u00e4varmoista asioista yksinkertaisesti ja vaikuttavasti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.findresearcher.sdu.dk\/en\/persons\/liburd\">Janne Liburd<\/a>in (Professor, Centre for Tourism, Innovation and Culture, Department of Design and Communication, University of Southern Denmark) aiheena oli Kohti kest\u00e4v\u00e4n kehityksen tavoitteita ja yhteis\u00f6llist\u00e4 yliopistoa (Towards the SDGs and the Collaborative University). Liburd pohti, miten yliopistot voivat edist\u00e4\u00e4 kest\u00e4v\u00e4n kehityksen tavoitteita. Ei riit\u00e4, ett\u00e4 yksil\u00f6t muuttavat omaa k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymist\u00e4\u00e4n, vaan muutos syntyy v\u00e4litt\u00e4vien ihmisten vuorovaikutuksessa, pieniss\u00e4 yksityiskohdissa. Liburdin mukaan ihmisi\u00e4 ja toimintaa voi johtaa kest\u00e4v\u00e4mm\u00e4n tulevaisuuden edist\u00e4miseksi, kun vain ymm\u00e4rret\u00e4\u00e4n yhteisty\u00f6n, yhteis\u00f6llisyyden ja eettisyyden voima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Torstain luennon (Nudging, Behavioural Insights &amp; the SDGs) piti k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisen ja etenkin sen talousvaikutusten tutkija <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pelleonline.org\/about-pelle.html\">Pelle Guldborg Hansen<\/a> (Roskilden yliopisto; <a href=\"https:\/\/inudgeyou.com\/en\/frontpage\/\">iNudgeyou<\/a>, Danish Nudging Network; TEN &#8211; The European Nudge Network, ) ja h\u00e4nen teemansa oli suostuttelu (nudging). Koska ihmisten k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyminen ei ole rationaalista, on kest\u00e4v\u00e4n kehityksen tavoitteiden edist\u00e4miseksi tunnettava, miten ihmisten k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymist\u00e4 voi ohjata. Ihmisten k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyminen on perustavanlaatuinen osa organisaatiota, mutta se ymm\u00e4rret\u00e4\u00e4n usein v\u00e4\u00e4rin. Suostuttelu on tapa muuttaa ihmisen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymist\u00e4 sopivaan suuntaan aika- ja kustannustehokkaasti. Se voi toimia tehokkaasti yliopistoissa, kun on kyse positiivisen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisen ja kest\u00e4v\u00e4mpien p\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6sten edist\u00e4misest\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osallistujat (noin 150) oli jaettu 16 ryhm\u00e4\u00e4n ilmoittautumisen yhteydess\u00e4 valittujen kiinnostuksen aiheiden mukaan. Osallistuin viestint\u00e4aiheiseen pienryhm\u00e4\u00e4n. Ennakkoteht\u00e4v\u00e4ksi olimme saaneet kukin mietti\u00e4 kysymyksen omasta kest\u00e4v\u00e4n kehityksen teemaan liittyv\u00e4st\u00e4 aiheesta. Pienryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 muodostimme eri kysymyksist\u00e4 keskustelemalla yhden yhteisen kysymyksen, joksi viestint\u00e4n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta muodostui: &#8221;Miten voimme edist\u00e4\u00e4 tutkijoiden ty\u00f6n n\u00e4kyvyytt\u00e4?&#8221; Toisena p\u00e4iv\u00e4n\u00e4 pienryhm\u00e4ty\u00f6skentely jatkui siten, ett\u00e4 vierailimme yhdess\u00e4 muussa ryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4, ja p\u00e4\u00e4dyin koulutusaiheiseen ryhm\u00e4\u00e4n kommentoimaan heid\u00e4n kysymyst\u00e4\u00e4n opiskelijoiden kest\u00e4v\u00e4n kehityksen tavoitteita edist\u00e4v\u00e4n toimijuuden mahdollistamisesta. Kolmannessa pienryhm\u00e4sessiossa palasimme omaan ryhm\u00e4\u00e4mme k\u00e4sittelem\u00e4\u00e4n vierailijoiden kommentteja kysymykseemme. Pienryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 toimiminen ennest\u00e4\u00e4n tuntemattomien ihmisten kanssa oli yll\u00e4tt\u00e4v\u00e4n helppoa, kun tunnelma oli v\u00e4lit\u00f6n ja yst\u00e4v\u00e4llinen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u00e4ivien <a href=\"https:\/\/media.sdu.dk\/playlist\/details\/0_8e30qlkh\">videoita <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kest\u00e4v\u00e4n kehityksen tavoitteet ovat laajat ja kattavat kaikki el\u00e4m\u00e4nalueet. UEF on sitoutunut tavoitteiden edist\u00e4miseen kaikessa toiminnassaan. Kest\u00e4vyys ja vastuullisuus ovat keskeisen\u00e4 periaatteena my\u00f6s yliopiston kampusten kehitt\u00e4misess\u00e4. The founding goals of YERUN are to strengthen and develop cooperation in the areas of research, academic education and service to society among the network of universities. Hans Bruyninckx (Executive Director of the European Environment Agency) talked about Managing universities in times of sustainability. The second keynote called Towards the SDGs and the Collaborative University was given by Janne Liburd (Professor, Centre for Tourism, Innovation and Culture, Department of Design and Communication, University of Southern Denmark). She asked how the university can make everyday sense of SDGs, and stated that intentionally transforming human behaviour of such magnitude may arise in the micro details of interactions between people who care.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Thursday&#8217;s lecture &#8221;Nudging, Behavioural Insights &amp; the SDGs&#8221; was given by Pelle Guldborg Hansen (behavioural scientist at Roskilde University; Chairman of the Danish Nudging Network; founder of TEN &#8211; The European Nudge Network, board member of the Global Association of Applied Behavioural Scientist, and CE of iNudgeyou &#8211; The Applied Behavioural Science Group)Human behaviour is the fundamental component of any organization and it is often misunderstood. We are not the super rational people who make cool decisions every day that we otherwise like to imagine. Nudging is a method of changing human behaviour in an appropriate direction and can be very cost-effective and time efficient. The use of Nudging and Behavioural Insights can be a powerful tool at universities, especially when it comes to creating positive behaviour and more sustainable decisions.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">As the SDG\u2019s cover a wide range of areas, the participants (about 150) were divided into 16 groups based on the interests were had expressed when registering for the event. I had the chance to discuss the SDGs as part of the university communications. We had all been asked to prepare a &#8221;how might we&#8221; question. In our group, we discussed them and formed one question, which, from our communication perspective, became &#8221;How might we make researchers&#8217; work more visible?&#8221; On Thursday, group work continued so that we visited another group, and I ended up in an education group where we visitors were asked to comment on their question &#8221;How can universities enable student agency around SDGs?&#8221; In the third group session, we returned to our own group to discuss our visitors&#8217; comments to our question. Though I did not know or had not met any of the group members before it was surprisingly easy to work together as the atmosphere was open and friendly.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.sdu.dk\/playlist\/details\/0_8e30qlkh\"><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">YERUN 2021 staff days\u00a0videos<\/bdo><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The UEF has agreed to promote the SDGs in all its operations.
