Kansallisesti tuotettu kurssi jakautuu nelj\u00e4\u00e4n osioon, joissa on tarjolla paitsi yleistietoa avoimesta tieteest\u00e4 my\u00f6s omat kokonaisuutensa avoimesta julkaisemisesta, avoimesta datasta sek\u00e4 avoimesta tutkimusprosessista. Opetusmateriaali, joka koostuu p\u00e4\u00e4osin h5p-moduuleista, videoista ja oheislukemistosta, antaa kattavan ja ajankohtaisen kuvan avoimen tieteen t\u00e4m\u00e4n hetken tilasta. Materiaalissa on syvemp\u00e4\u00e4, omatoimista asioihin perehtymist\u00e4 ajatellen tarjolla runsaasti linkkej\u00e4 mm. suomalaisten yliopistojen avoimen tieteen sivustoille, erilaisiin oppaisiin, tietokantoihin ja moneen muuhun. Kyseess\u00e4 on siis todellinen rautaisannos avointa tiedett\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Yleiskuvausosiossa<\/strong> k\u00e4yd\u00e4\u00e4n l\u00e4pi avoimen tieteen perusk\u00e4sitteit\u00e4 ja suurimpia haasteita. <strong>Avoimen julkaisemisen<\/strong> osiossa opastetaan mm. valitsemaan avoimen tieteen eri vaihtoehdoista itselleen sopivimmat sek\u00e4 tunnistamaan ja karttamaan saalistajajulkaisuja. <strong>Avoimen datan<\/strong> osiosta puolestaan l\u00f6ytyy tukea esimerkiksi datanhallintasuunnitelman tekemiseen, datan avaamiseen sek\u00e4 n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmia juridisiin ja eettisiin kysymyksiin. Viimeisess\u00e4 osiossa k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n <strong>avointa tutkimusprosessia<\/strong> sek\u00e4 akateemisen yhteisty\u00f6n ett\u00e4 kansalaistieteen ja yhteiskunnan kannalta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Opintojakson suorittaminen edellytt\u00e4\u00e4 opiskelijalta reflektoivaa kirjoitelmaa omasta oppimisestaan aiheen parissa ja omista avoimen tieteen hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4mismahdollisuuksistaan. Pakollisen teht\u00e4v\u00e4n lis\u00e4ksi voi opiskelija testata omaa osaamistaan relaatiopelill\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mik\u00e4 ihmeen relaatiopeli?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Relaatiopeliss\u00e4 &#8211; tai tutummin relaatiossa &#8211; on ideana l\u00f6yt\u00e4\u00e4 toisiinsa liittyvi\u00e4 sanoja sek\u00e4 mahdollinen loppuratkaisu. Kurssilla k\u00e4ytetty pelialusta toimii selaimessa ja on suomalaista tekoa useamman vuoden takaa. Kaikessa yksinkertaisuudessaan peliss\u00e4 arvataan annettuun aloitussanaan mahdollisesti liittyvi\u00e4 sanoja, jotka kohdalle osuessaan avaavat uusia arvattavia sanoja, kunnes kaikki relaation laatijan peliin sis\u00e4llytt\u00e4m\u00e4t sanat on saatu auki. Sana on t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tapauksessa ymm\u00e4rrett\u00e4v\u00e4 laajemmin kuin yksitt\u00e4inen sana tai yhdyssana; se voi olla vaikkapa lausahdus, erisnimi tai muu useammasta osasta koostuva kokonaisuus. Relaatioita voi pelata osoitteessa <a href=\"https:\/\/hyotynen.iki.fi\/relaatiot\">hyotynen.iki.fi\/relaatiot<\/a>, josta l\u00f6ytyy l\u00e4hes 600 eri aihepiireihin liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 relaatiota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Syyslukukauden opintojaksolta ker\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n opiskelijapalautetta sek\u00e4 koko kurssista ett\u00e4 erikseen relaatiosta. Saadun palautteen perusteella p\u00e4\u00e4tet\u00e4\u00e4n, onko relaatio k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 my\u00f6s kev\u00e4tlukukaudella 2021 ensimm\u00e4ist\u00e4 kertaa tarjolla olevassa uudistuneessa avoimen tieteen opintojaksossa <strong>Basics of Open and Responsible Science: Open Access Publishing and Research Data<\/strong>. Uutuuskurssi on yksi It\u00e4-Suomen yliopiston YUFE-verkostolle (Young Universities for the Future of Europe) tarjoamista opintojaksoista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P.S. The nationally produced course is divided into four sections, offering not only general information on open science but also its own entities on open publishing, open data, and an open research process. The educational material, consisting mostly of h5p modules, videos and supplementary reading, provides a comprehensive and timely view of the current state of open science. There are plenty of links to open science sites in Finnish universities, various guides, databases etc. in order to support independent learning. So this is really an information pack about open science.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The general description section<\/strong> goes through the basic concepts and greatest challenges of open science. <strong>The Open Publication section<\/strong> provides guidance on selecting the most suitable options for open science and identifying and shunning predatory publications. <strong>The Open Data section<\/strong>, on the other hand, offers support for issues such as making a data management plan, opening data, and perspectives on legal and ethical issues. The final section discusses <strong>the open research process<\/strong>, both in terms of academic collaboration and in terms of civic science and society.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Completion of the course requires students to write a reflexive essay on their own learning in the subject and their own opportunities to exploit open science. In addition to the compulsory task, students can test their own competence with a relational game.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">What on earth is a relational game?<\/bdo><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In a relational game \u2013 or more familiar relation \u2013 the idea is to find related words, as well as a possible end result. The game platform of the course works on the browser and is a Finnish act from years back. In all its simplicity, the player guesses any words associated with the given starting word, which, when hit, open up new words to be guessed until all words included in the game by the author of the relation have been opened. In this case, a word must be understood more broadly than a single word or a compound word; it may be, say, a statement, a proper name, or any other entity consisting of several parts. The relational game can be played at <a href=\"https:\/\/hyotynen.iki.fi\/relaatiot\">hyotynen.iki.fi\/relaatiot<\/a> (user interface in Finnish only), where nearly 600 relations associated to different topics can be found.<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Student feedback is collected from the fall semester course, both on the entire course and separately on the relational game. Based on the feedback received, it will be decided whether the relational game will also be in place in the renewed open science course offered for the first time in the spring semester 2021, <strong>Basics of Open and Responsible Science: Open Access Publishing and Research Data<\/strong>. The novelty course is one of the courses offered by the University of Eastern Finland to the Yufe network (Young Universities for the Future of Europe).<\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">P.S.
