Erkko Sointu (D.Ed.), postdoctoral researcher in ICT in teaching and learning, UEF Learning in Interactive Environments (LINE); works in UEF School of Applied Educational Science and Teacher Education; member of TOTYresearch group; researcher in PREP21 and DIVA projects.
Sointu’s scholarship lies at the intersection of four areas of educational sciences and special education: (1) understanding teachers’ knowledge and attitudes toward ICT in education, (2) investigating higher education learning environments, (3) strength-based perspectives in education, and (4) quantitative research methods. Sointu is interested in international and national collaboration.

He is currently (Oct-Nov 2015) undertaking work as a Fulbright grant recipient at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
