With a focus on integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into teacher preparation programs, FUTE fosters a holistic approach to sustainable practices across diverse teaching disciplines, empowering future teachers to champion sustainability in both local and global contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) and supported by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland through the Higher Education Partnership (HEP) Programme (2024\u20132026), FUTE brings together the University of Turku (UTU), Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE), and the University of Namibia (UNAM). Each partner institution contributes distinct expertise: the University of Eastern Finland is renowned for its innovations in teacher education, the University of Turku provides strong foundations in sustainability science, and the African partners add invaluable perspectives on adapting ESD to local contexts and challenges.
